Hi all, 6 weeks into owning a VU SS ute, so still in newbie mode.

Does anyone know if there should be a trim piece covering the air intake below the grille?

Was looking at mine the other day and note I don't have any trim down there, can see straight thru to the radiator. Is this the way it came out, or am I missing a trim piece?

Nah, that is how they come. I don't even think anyone makes a piece to go in there unfortunately. When I had my VT SS I tried to custom make one, but their isn't even really anything down there to secure it too.

Yeah, thought as much. So what did you use for the custom piece?

and how about the Statesman, would it have this area trimmed? Either way the bumper moulding would be different on a WH Statesman, so moot point I guess?

Used a piece of silver mesh that I bought from supercheap. Was pretty dodgy and did not last long.
