Cleaning LED TV Screen

We recently acquired a Samsung 60" LED (LCD) TV and in the process of mounting it to the wall etc it ended up with dirty fingerprints down the edges.

I Googled how to clean it safely and the suggestion was distilled water and microfibre cloths. However, distilled water seems extremely difficult to procure these days. It used to be available in Coles, Woolies etc but apparently not any more.

Any suggestions on either where to get distilled water or how to safely clean it please?

Boil kettle and let it cool?

Gaz I'm not fancy and don't listen to instructions. Lightly damp cloth with warm water, then wipe with clean towel or TP to get residue off. Works getting kids fingerprints off

Gaz, they call it "demineralised water" these days,
"Diggers" is a brand who sell it.
Still available all over the place, I use it in my iron, batteries etc & buy it often. :yup:

Go to Harvey Norman buy Monster Screen Cleaner is a non alcohol based product comes with a microfiber too and also works really well on stainless steel.

This may not be an "advised" technique, but I use Windex and a Microfiber cloth (Note: by spraying the Windex onto the cloth not the TV)

Been using it on our 55" Samsung LED for 5 years now and it hasn't melted it.

In fact I've used Windex on every TV / monitor I've owned over the past 20+ and have never had an issue.

You can even use it on glass :-)

Funny, the first article I read when researching said NOT Windex, but I guess it's pretty safe as long as you spray onto cloth first. :)

I use an Enjo cloth. Nothing else, except sometimes it needs a small spray of water on the cloth to remove stubborn marks.
