Hi there.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether the standard, factory fitted suspension in the Series II CV8R is different to the other V2 Monaro models?
My CV8R is much smoother and less firmer than the Series III and VZ models. My mechanic told me there was nothing wrong with my shocks and suggested that being a limited edition model, the suspension may have been upgraded in the CV8Rs?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I have a Series III CV8-R I bought brand new and the suspension I pulled out of it after 1000 kms was the same that is in every other SIII Monaro. I would imagine we would have been made aware if the Series II CV8-R was any different to other Monaro's.

Geez mate, you pulled that factory stuff out a bit early, you could of easily got another 1000km out of it before it was stuffed lol

CV8R got the exact same running gear as any series 3 Monaro. They only got the special paint colours/ interior trim/leather colour, rims & badging (& sunroof ??)
Exact same engine, suspension, driveline etc etc.

Series III CV8 R got the sunroof as standard, the only V2 Monaro to do so (the VZ CV8 Z did too). The Series III CV8 R was also the only version to have a unique paint colour, Pulse Red didn't appear on any other Holden or HSV while the Series II CV8 R Grey became a standard Holden colour. I believe the white leather was also available in the equivalent Calais and a limited edition Berlina International too with the same paint colour. Different seats though of course.
