Below link has inside and outside pictures of the Commodore AWD Tourer (Buick RegalX - same thing as our next Commodore)

http://www.caranddriver.com/buick/regal-tourx

From the last picture the Commodore will have a pyro style pop up bonnet for pedestrian safety. Front interior looks fine, back seat looks flat though.

Cheers, Matthew

I would not be seen dead with

as about as exciting as one of these... (which at least has a decent ride height!)

Sadly I believe that the one you pictured would have been a more reliable & better built car in it's time. :hide:

Honestly why do they bother making these things, 3 major issues in my books:

1: where the hell are you going to get with that lack of ground clearance
2: its guttless ugly thing
3: to much plastic let alone polish getting stuck in them if your not careful.....hate having to remove this from customers cars lol

Here's the official Holden media release. Carsguide mentioned that it will only come out with the 230kW V6 which is better than the 2.0L offered elsewhere.

and
that suggests (based on past history ) Holden will gouge customers re the RRP price... probably $60k+ on the road

If that happens, it will sell about as well as the current Holden Insignia (VFACTS report 43 sold for the Dec16 quarter)

Unfortunately I think you'll prove to be correct. If Holden want to be serious about numbers then the pricing will need to be right. Can't see that happening with the RRP they are in the UK for the 2.0L range topping model.

I can't imagine them being the best selling new release Commodore ever. :nono:

The problem Holden are going to have is that the current Commodore is their best seller. In March 2081 Commodores were sold. Second was Colorado with 1927. If NG doesn't come close to those numbers then there is going to be a huge hole to fill.

I will keep my VY Wagon. Its very practical and goes well. I just need to upgrade my speakers to handle new head unit. It was the first car i brought new.

Yes very well said, hence most Holden dealers are very busy shrinking their "Holden" sales foot print as they know the Imported priced up FWD
"Commodore" will not cut the mustard with most traditional buyers.
This is why you see dealers suddenly signing up to other makes of franchise or moving their other makes next to Holden's products.

Yes they will slip down in sales in 2018 along with Ford and their not so happy customers or customer service.
Times are certainly changing over to the Japanese / Thai and Koreans makes for now.

If I read the above correctly, we are ONLY getting the V6 version
HAS to be more expensive than any 4 cyl version

ha... very unlikely
unless BMW is giving them away! :)
Holden get about $40 k for a SS police car and the min price for a 5 series is about $90
... for the diesel version (and the normal 530i has an RRP Of $108k + on roads)

The biggest problem is the buying public have been deserting large and medium sedans for SUV's and 4WD utes. In the end that dictates where Holden need to focus their energies. I feel that the NG Commodore will fill a need, but an ever shrinking one.
