ASE T1000 kit and F/I tuner in Qld.

Anyone else have this kit on a built motor? Also looking for a new tuner in qld. At the moment I have almost had enough of the car.

Am being told the ase kit is to restrictive for a 390ci motor.

I don't think the cross-over piping is all that great. From memory it's only 2".

I have a kit on a stock 6lt with a small cam (ran a 9.7 in a vx before i ran out of gears) an the pipes glow hard on the crossover (much more then the 4 pipes from pass side), but i'll admit im only running 14psi. I am planning on adding another wastegate on the cross-over just as it bends to drop some of the back-pressure in that pipe.

I think they ended up doing similar on the VE kit i.e 2 wastegates.

We used to have the kit on my dad's old 416ci motor and it was definitely a restriction on that. We went to a couple of china gt35's and went from 132 to 150mph down the 1/4 as the car would make more power and even revved more freely.

Thanks man. Killaboost want $2300 for new manifolds and crossover. Might be cheaper to do that then try fab up stuff to the ase kit. Bugger it.

i dunno. plenty of room to weld a v-band on for another wastegate on that cross over pipe & have it dump or you could always redirect it into your exhaust.
