VY-VZ SS ute Tailshaft

Hi peoples,
I was wonder if anyone could tell me if a VY-VZ ss ute tailshaft is the same lenght......Auto and Manual, and the part #92078605 is the same for both?

Yes, V8 Auto/Manual are the same length.

(ute and wagon are also the same length).

Actually I will add one exception...

the 6L VZ HSV from 2005-2006 run a different donut on the tailshaft (which actually matches the VE donuts). I am 95% certain there is a different flange used on the auto/manual transmissions outputs as well.

So the SS's will all be the same but the late Maloos are different again.

I also believe the AWD crewman Utes are different lengths as well.

Here's a pic comparing the HSV VZ 6.0L larger diff yoke and larger donut, next to the standard VZ 5.7L diff yoke, it's considerably larger...

Interestingly, Holden didn't fit the larger yoke to the VZ 6.0L Thunder's, they just used the standard smaller VZ 5.7L diff yoke and smaller donut...
