exhaust technolgy adelaide pathetic

After been stuffed around by exhaust technolgy and constantly chasing mark up, and after 4 months they send a so called custom exhaust 4 months after I ordered it. I go to a performance shop in Perth yesterday 450km drive who fit the headers and then tell me the rest of Exhaust from headers back won’t fit all without major cutting and welding, it was a total disaster and the system cost me $4450. On the phone to the mark at exh technology he couldn’t even give a straight answer he was like a cat cornered and full of sorry ect ect cut a long story short don’t go there they are totally unprofessional and he has no glue what he’s doing.

Very sorry to hear that Rod as they in conjunction with KPM used to make the best VE (and therefore VF) systems available. It sounds like KPM were a major part of that with their KPM systems which were awesome! I've had 3, although the Senator one is only a KPM SLC (some Chinese bits?) so not quite as good. Still OK though.

Sounds like once he has his money Mark couldn't give a FF! Very disappointing........... :mad:

Very disappointing to hear after dropping decent $$ on that system, will they be coming to the party to make good on modding & fitting it up for you though?

To be honest I thought you would have gone with a Manta system seeing that you're in WA, I've heard nothing but good things about their systems.

Been a few years now since I had my street fighter system fitted there. KPM were still next door but had nothing to do with the exhaust from what I saw, just used them on their vehicles . Mark was there that day and seemed like an ok bloke . Wonder what has happened in the meantime? Anyway hope you get it sorted mate, that is a lot of coin to drop on something that doesn't meet expectations .

This story surprises me.

I have heard plenty of good stories in the past from happy customers about their work.

They have quite a good reputation in Adelaide for quality work.

This is the first time I have ever heard any negative comments.

When the performance shop fitted the headers they rung me, at which id walked 30mins down the road to tell me the drama, at which I then walked another 30 mins back to the shop , upon looking at the issue, it was apparent the system had not been jigged up beforehand on a VE SS as Exh Tech said it was. The cat section if bolted onto the headers were hard up on the undersill. And the righ hand side section was totally out of alignment, so the shop said there was at least a days fabrication, cutting and welding to even get it fitting. Not happy as the pacemaker headers were on the car , so had them taken off and the old system reinstalled. Car spent the whole day on the hoilst for nothing plus a long drive down , I was not happy. I rung Mark and sent him photos whilst the car was on the hoilst. He said he would cover the labour cost for removing my exhaust and then refitting it but he never replied back when I asked for the money or bothered even ring me back since to sort out a solution. Actually have not heard anything from him, wont answer his phone. On top of this I had to constantly ring him up for 3 1/2 months chasing him up reference the exhaust ect otherwise it woud never been done. Big Mistake . I sent him a text Friday as he wont answer his phone saying I wanted a full refund on the system as it doesn't fit and I will be sending it back. All he replied with was '' Noted'' .
The shop has shocking customer service and his system he sent is not much better.
