For a 1977 Holden Torana, a nice historic muscle car but $365 000 FFS. These f#cking idiots are just driving the market up for any other old piece of shit as well, more money than brains.

One Mans trash is another Mans treasure I guess! Were a very quick vehicle for the day but is it worth that? I don't know!

Is this a joke,...can it be true,...for a FOUR door,.....this is well above any A9X hatch prices I've heard,......hatches are supposed to be the ones to have.
IMHO, crazy money,.....I wonder who bought it.

While that generation of people are still around and have Care Factor...... for that era of car, prices will remain strong.

Once all those people are gone, the Demand / Care Factor for that era of car will never be the same, and prices will follow suit IMO...

It's worth what someone's willing to pay for it, $365 000 it seems. I think it's a very desirable old car but if I was a f#cking billionaire I wouldn't pay that for it, each to their own like you said.

The problem from this is someone with a clapped out rusty old 173 SL four door in their back shed thinks they can get $30 000 for it. Then some clown pays that and it continues to spiral out of control, like GTHO replicas fetching $45 000 or more . I get emailed the Shannons auction catalogues and results and usually just look at them shaking my head at what people are willing to pay for old numberplates let alone cars, it's insane.

Like SAS said though, eventually us old blokes who fondly remember these cars will drop off the perch, the generation currently wandering around staring at their phones and iPads will take over and the arse will eventually fall out of them. That's probably going to take a while though.

I read somewhere, there are more fake GTHO's getting around, trying to be sold as the Real Deal, than they actually manufactured, so buyer beware...

Lots of dodgy people out there...
