I have a 2004 VZ Commodore, LS1 auto, LSD. The tailshaft centre bearing is cactus and needs replacing.
Elsewhere in other forums (and on youtube), it seems that the centre bearing is replaceable (and fairly easy to replace - with the aid of a sturdy hammer), but some owners have indicated that their centre bearing cannot be removed/replaced.
Does anyone know equivocally if some tailshafts are not serviceable (I assume most are), and if so is there a way for me to confirm the serviceability of my tailshaft - before I go and buy a centre bearing?
