Exhaust backfire on upshift

In the past 3 weeks I have seen/heard 2 x VF SS and 1 x VE SS that have a distinctive exhaust backfire on upshifting IE Like the hot hatches from Audi, Ford (Focus RS). Is this something that is activated in the tune?

Yeah Rod, my VF2 with oem bi modal crackle & farts heaps on up shifts mostly when cold. Did improve when I pulled the relay.

My VFII Redline gives a single crack when I upshift when on the gas. It burbles on coast down.
My bi-model is permanently open.

If possible would like this activated in sports mode but disabled in normal mode, wonder if that is possible?

I believe it's to do with the AFCO AND DFCO (acceleration fuel cut off and deceleration fuel cut off) in the tune.
