One of the best "promotions" of its type that I've seen.
Looks like there's some real quality gear being put into this car, by people who know what they're doing.

I enjoy watching Lowndsey & reckon this promotion is a cracker - but a couple of points I picked up in that video ;
- They're modifying the bonnet scoops which seems a bit pointless given that they are non functional (unless this is being changed ??)
- The video showed an overhauled 4L60 transmission. This model got the upgraded 4L65 version (maybe they didn't have one around for the camera ??)
- I'm still not convinced about the paint colour/type. That flat type finish does nothing for me... but then, I'm an old fossil :-)
- Prize value of $150k. Seems a bit inflated to me....

Lol!!..4L60?!!!,.....Yeah, I picked that up too!!!!,....I just thought that they would be rebuilding it with some heavy duty stuff, which'd be better than 4l65E anyway?! but yeah, a bit of a boo boo!

I reckon it will totally spoil an otherwise great build!

Looks to me like something you would see in a 1990's Mitsubishi Lancer playing Doof Doof noises on the sub woofer.

I think the interiors looked cheap and tacky in those as well. Certainly never considered them as "classy".

Yeah, not into very plastic look or the cloth inserts with bright coloured vinyl skunk stripes either.

I reckon the interior of the Falcon GT's of the same era looked nicer. :hide:

I think the big problem with the interior of the "Project Monaro" is the use of the bright blue on the console and dash surrounds. Looks terrible, especially with the blue highlights on the bottom of the dash and trans tunnel. Tone that way down and I think it would come up better.
