Hi all,
I was wondering whether the 90 degree VZ 3.8 litre engine used in the VZ Commodore (2004 onwards) is the same as the one produced by Buick / GM in the USA. Specifically the engine mounts, etc... O'h and I might as well ask are the earlier V6 engines the same as well??
Thanks
Peter

Up to VY had the 3.8
VZ had a 3.6
They were both totally different engines,
the VY was a sort of much modified & upgraded version of the Buick motor
and the VZ onwards was an entirely different European designed engine.

the 'high feature' Alloytec V6 in VZ was produced in the Holden Engine plant at Pt Melbourne .. says my memory

Yeah, I am pretty sure it was a European design unlike the 3.8 though?

Mounts are the same. And as far as I know, extractors are too.
