Hey all i am chasing and electrical issue with our SS.
I have done lots of reading checked connections and such.
Problem battery drain has been like it i think since we have owned the car.
Car no longer gets used daily it's only done 57 klms this year.
Was never a problem when it was used daily.
Now it's time to figure it out, there was a relay soldered in to the bcm i figure it goes with the aftermarket alarm, little black box lhf gaurd it's turned off
Now i can't find the relay i don't even know what it is, but it's cooked anyway you could cook lunch on it pulled it out years ago as the alarm kept going off never did it again after removing it and turning the thing off.
Any way i have pulled fuses with the multi meter connected the only one under the bonnet that seems to effect battery usage is the pcm/bcm 10 amp fuse pull that and all stops, i get that it keeps power the system.
The battery's new as of may last year will drain the battery in 3 maybe 4 days.
I also think i have an alternator problem dash goes off battery light comes on abs warning and radio stops this is around 4000 rpm it's 16 months old. 9207 pic of relay it's 3 pin.
Repco gave me a 6 amp flasher relay that's now toast.
I have blown the electric window fuse twice and cooked 1 relay, i may have to go to an auto elec to see if they can tell me what it is.
Going to swap batteries with the Ute it gets used more, and i can see if it charges ok that way.
I do have a 2 amp charger that works OK as well.
What else can i check.
Thanks.

When you have after market wiring & stuff in there I reckon the sparky is the best bet.

My SS stays in the garage for most of the year & I unhook the earth terminal on the battery most of the time but also sometimes top my battery up with a trickle charge.

Update seems that i may have fixed this little issue ,after popping the fuse and cooking the relay ,the alarm light on the dash doesn't even work (led just near steering wheel) haven't started the car since Friday green light on battery is solid green ,voltage 12.37 yesterday 12.43 .
This is the battery from Kyle's Ute ,the SS battery is in the Ute holding a similar voltage ,the little light isn't on hasn't worked since i bought the thing .
I don't plan on starting the car until sat ,we are off to QLD for a week from the 20th march need to know if the car will start seeing as it will be at the Adelaide airport i do have RAA if it wont.
If i need to i will get my battery load tested only got it in may last year century Battery.

After not being so well for the last week ,i have today used the car starts fine .
I have now found my dash issue after having every light you could imagine light up and yell at me .
I need to replace the alternator 14.3 volts cold charge hot 13.5 with every thing turned on 13.1 .
Under acceleration around 4 k i get 17.4 volts and every light coming on then it all goes off dead nothing car runs fine though, other than that its fine the alts not that old oh well another shit job to do ,probably should buy a better alternator .
Not to worried don't use it that much have 2 other cars to use .
Lifters and cam late this year gathering pieces along the way need to keep the cost down as much as i can i don't work .

So the Alternator likes to put out 18.4 volts @5000 rpm (Dash goes stupid then turns off) under that it sort of hovers around 14 volts except today at idle in drive 12.1 think that's my problem ,just going to replace the alternator after we get back from QLD.
