Guys,
Just posting a hearty well done! to 'Criso' after some very consistant pedaling grabbed him an 11.89 @ 115 MPH last night at Eastern Creek.
This has been the first outing for his black 382 VU SS 'signature' ute and the signs are there for better numbers when he can sort out gearing and traction niggles.
Sounded like a good time ejoyed by all and special thanks goes to PLANB for his support and for sharing his expertise with Cris and Spanner Virtuoso Gary Scott. Actually Gary, was very very impressed with Peter's knowledge of drag racing technique and setup and his generosity with information. Gary is more a 'roundy-round' and roadracing type of guy so he was like a kid in a candy store last night...absolutey stoked!
Cris still had a huge grin on his face this morning when I collected the slips, He liked the creek too and I think it was his first effort from the 'Chrisie Tree' ....good effort champ!
Does my heart good to see smart people connecting like this.
Anyway below are the time slips and if the mods could have a look at updating the quick list for Criso, I'd really appreciate it
Criso (Holden VU Ute SS) 2D Ute, est. 3575lb NSW

It's starting to get a bit of a line up of cars in the 11's now.
Good onya:thumbsup: ...pity you only got to do a couple of runs, that's the downside of drag racing, a couple of oil downs and there goes the night.

Great to see Chris finally get there this time...he doesn't get the best luck and great to see some of the more experienced crew give him a leg up.
Reckon he has 4.3 rear though Spacy?.

Naa he never got it off me. Just I remember him telling me what he was upto with the 9" in it....31 spline! It is one serious rear in that deal!
I had nothing to do with his combo....except maybe an LS6 valley plate?
It is one serious first track attack...Go the 382"!!
Can't wait to see what goes down when he hits his parts store for the next combo!!!!

We had a ball last night and Chris is as keen as mustard.
With a few simple tweaks the car in its current form is going to go really well and in its future form, it’ll be very, very serious.
Certainly one to look out for!!!

What's up with the vehicle number on the time slip?
On first on it's 5727 ano second one it's 5654.
Also about the timeslip, it's a bit of a poor effrot they don't give any incremental times/speed or weather data....be good once WSID is up and running ...hey:yup:

yeah ECR has crap time slips, the best are from Heathcote funnily enough. Shitty track out in the sticks and it has the best readout boards and time slips in Australia, go figure. ECR frequenly getting entrant numbers wrong on the timeslip, usually it will happen on your best one of course so when you show anyone they all question it.
Good stuff, should have washed it though:hide: "says the man with the shitty red VN"

Yup...4.3:1's it is in that custom 9". Definitely needs tubs and big fat rubber for that mother. Needs taming. I believe the boys were looking at fiddling tyre size to take out some of that shortness.
Mods...can we update Criso's stats to read 4.3...ta

Yeah..noticed the screwy race numbers...obviously the officials have issues with numeracy LOL:doh:
Yeah...would be useful to have part track beams active, after all...drag racing is a tuning tool as well as a motor sport and if you don't have all the numbers , it gets a lil disappointing. Like chopping out the middle of a dyno graph.
Roll on WSID....

when you do two drivers they assign two numbers might be that
great result
be interesting to see how the 9" holds up. Which 9" setup ?

Hello V8 UTE the time slips could be different because Pete and I drove so one of the the numbers would be his. i Notice that last night but i was the driver of those two slips
Thanks Criso

Top effort Chris, good to see you pedal it into the 11's at your first meet.
Do you have any specs on the motor and other mods that you could share with us? Would be interesting to see what has been done.
Brett.
