3 letter search limit

Why is there a 3 letter limit on the search function? Is it a limitation of the forum software? It would be nice if this could be changed to 2 letters. It's a real pain not being able to search for 'VY' or 'SS'.:(

exactly. be creative in your search terms.

Why the hell would you seriously want to search for "VY" anyway?

You'd only get about 10 million threads to read :p

So the limitation is in the load placed on the server. Fair enough then.

It would just be nice to be able to refine your search a bit more. If I was just looking for something , say for example info on a VY SS front bar. At the moment I'd search on front bar. This brings up millions of posts that aren't relevant. I either miss the info I'm after or get sick of looking and start another thread to ask. This extra thread will mean even more results come up when the next person does a search. It's like a viscous circle.
