CLUBVX goes….12.93 @ 106mph! Richard just rang me and he is still as sick as a dog! But nothing could stop the smiles. He's like.... "I've got the time card!!!"
Good stuff guys!
I'm not sure of all the details as the phone range up there isn't the best. Richard should be back about 8pm so the details will follow!
Matt’s doing well too I hear.

Nice work fellas!
I spoke to Dunstin earlier today and he was saying that Matty was having some hassles hooking up, and that Richard was hitting low 13s.
Congrats once again on the 12 Richard.

Well what can I say Ritchie. Congratulations mate. Looks like G @ D have done some great work on clubvx. Good on you Ritchie. Couldn't be happier for a nice bloke.
Cheers Large.
Pushing the heavy clubby with street rubber to 12.9 is madness. Imagine what you could do with a spool and Slicks. Bring it on Ritchie.

Hello
First of all I would like to.....acutually I would love to thank G & D PERFORMANCE for a job well done on my car. More specifically I would like to thank Glenn Everitt for all his efforts/time/workmanship and conversations and of course advice that he has invested in me and my car over the past 12 months or so. I gave Glenn a goal I wanted to acheive with my car and he did it! THANKYOU. Words are not enough to describe the friendship developed between myself and Glenn.
I insisted on having the first bolt on ls1 powered m6 to crack a 12 on daily street tyres and I got it.:bounce: I would also like to point out that G & D Performance even more now with the added resources and expertise of Matt Jackson can cater for most of your ls1 or any other performance related needs. The group of G & D Performance really gave me a confident feeling of acheiving my goals and assisting me the whole way. Also a big thanks to the behind the scene guys at G & D Performance Steve, Jake, Daniel and all the others who I can not remember your names right now....THANKYOU.
I would also like to thank a couple others along the way for pushing me to acheive CLUBVX's goal and that is AQICSS & LARGE for keeping me up to speed on Thursday nights, KRIZTO the movie director, HUGGIES, ROBVXR8, SIDEWINDER, DUNSTIN, SCUD, GMVPSS and JUZZY. I would also like to say thanks to PLAN B for your phone call after CLUBVX got a 12 and also the pm's and posts with JUSTICE R8 over the last week or even less than that.
Also everyone their today that congratulated me THANKS SO MUCH, it was the sort of congratulations I would get after banging Pamela Anderson! All the congratulations really goto G & D Performance as I am only the owner of the car....G & D Performance undertook the task of making my car a 12 second car and also drove it to that goal on the day.
And before I get criticism from many that I am a "bench racer" no I am NOT, I did have a few runs today but couldn't even beat my pb of 13.3, beleive it or not I nearly had to pull out today and was going to have the AQICSS team bring my car to Heathcote for me due to ill health. I AM HAPPY I MADE IT!
Also it was good to meet you KIWI for the first time, and also my regards go out to Statie, I hope all goes well in your repairs.

Another thing that has not been added was that the 12.90 and 12.93 were into a 20+ MP/H wind...
Most cars were down 2/3 MP/H than useral so there is still alot more left in this car!
Cummon Richie! Lets see how far it can go!

Hi
To Justice R8: I have records of between 19kph and 38kph head winds on my timecards
To Pooga: after our several pm's, looks like a good idea we kept the maf on hey and I am more than sure you will be happy with your maf sensor too
To Grassy: your car is a screamer....if I took your advice I would be looking for a killer timecard like 11's!, your car is off its nut compared to mine!!!
To Brett SS: A special thanks to you for advice you gave me along the way, much appreciated.
To Dean: In CLUBVX's current form I KNOW that a 12.8 WILL be acheived in better conditions and a 12.7 "SHOULD/COULD" be possible at say Calder Park at night with under ten degrees?? Hope I haven't started a flaming war now for typing 12.7!
Once again thanks to all the replys and congratulations.

Out of interest, what sort of tyres were they, and what sorta 60ft times were u running?
Other thing was how hard were the gear changes - were they flat shifts, or fairly conservative changes?

Not too sure of the tyres, but some nice burnouts getting them hot:cheers:
And conservative gear changes, i dont think chirps into 4th justify conservative
Well done to Glenn for running the 12 second pass. Too bad it wasnt done with stock diff gears and the owner running the 12 sec pass. Probably would of made it even more sweeter. :stick:

Hi Simon
How are you?
Your comment is like me saying its too bad your car is running now with an aftermarket clutch to obtain its 13.2! Mate who cares what clutch/diff gears one has as long as you are happy with it yourself! Congrats on your 13.2 though as it is well deserved, I acheived a 13.3 in my FAT and HUGE HSV at the start of the year.
Yeah it is very unfortunate it wasn't done with stock diff gears as they had a huge whine in them and would have pissed us off all the way to Heathcote and back, my headache would have been a lot worse!
When I decided to change my diff gears....like other items in the drivetrain I took G&D's advice and opted for either better items that lasted longer such as my clutch which has been holding up AWESOME with 100% hard street use in mind or items that would help me push my car into the 12's everyday. I have 3.91 HSV GTS diff gears in the diff to do this, the exact same type as offered in a VX GTS.
I assume you have also made ?some? changes to your VX SS to obtain 13 second passes???
Now once again to all, I would have loved to drive my car into the 12's this is no secret, but seriously I don't give a **** who does it.....ITS DONE! I had a couple goes but was simply too ill to even do better than my previous best times.
Good luck with your car next time at the 1/4 mile track if you do run it again? Since you do not have a full ls1edit tune performed yet you will be deep into the 12's once you get it done, if done properly that is!!!
Your car will simply pull away from mine like a bullet and I will be most happy for you as I am feeling lonely in Victoria with a 12 second un-opened ls1 m6 on street tyres at the moment!:bounce:
regards,
Richard

Hey Matt,
He was running Sumitomo HTR Z II road tyres, and the best 60' time was 1.88 with some in the 1.9's as well. I don't think there was any flat changes involved but they were not conservative at the same time.

Thats the same 60' times as me (on the same brand of tyres). I did a 1.9 60' on B530's. Maybe thats the limit for street tyres.

What Dunny said it is not and i repeat NOT a TUNE or LS1 edit. I will be gettting my EDIT/TUNE from F1 Performance.
I had "issues" and asked for them to be addressed. Such as fuel and O2's and ignition problems. I have no real gains just maybe a lil bit in 3rd for between 3500 and 5000 thats it i still have the typical low down slug just make up for it with some "Scud" shifts :stick: remember some people are getting 210+ with exhaust package and Some Cold air. anyway i just got what my car was suppose to run in a way its not a power enhancement it putting my car where it should be :moon: SIMPLE *note*
As it isnt a forum sponsor (thankfully) i wont name them to discredit them.
Anyway life goes on. Bring on 12's

Hey Simon,
I hate to say but a gain between 3500-5000 rpms in 3rd will also be in every other gear that you have. You would probably spend a lot of your time down the track in that rev range too so you would have ran faster cause of this.
Still ran an awesome time though mate, hope to see you in the 12's soon when you get a proper edit done. :hide:
