Nice video, pity it was of the first 2 runs of the day which were by far the worst. Matt had 1000lb springs in there for those 2 runs and as you can see bounces badly on take off. After changing to softer springs he ran the 11.61 pass.

He was also telling us that this was the first time he had to really shift hard with the Munro so that's why the 1st...2nd...Reverse...Reverse...3rd...4th gear changes happened as he was getting a bit keen with the shifter missing 3rd completely and trying to slam it in reverse. :D

I couldnt tell if it was reverse or the brakes, damn how does his gearbox feel after trying to smash reverse going that quik???? Was that run still a 13 even with the strange gear selections????

It was definately reverse as he got a bit keen on the shift and missed 3rd (and 5th) completely. It doesn't cause any harm as it won't let it engage when you are on the roll. Those runs were in the 13's but as I said once the springs were changed it was a completely different car and ran into the 11's. :D

Its not that i cant drive, its just that... ahh, yep, cant drive.

Ill get there, ive never had to smash gears in this car, i used to flat change the first 4 forward gears in my SS, maybe i need some practice. On my 11.61 run i made sure the bitch was in the proper gear(3rd i think :) ) then mashed the throttle again, theres going to be a bit left in this thing when i work out how to drive.

On a serious note there was one run where you got quite out of shape down the strip...you did a fantastic job in bringing her back...we were all holding our breath there for a minute.

Id prefer to go slower in my Manual than to soften for an auto. ;)

ah yes that would hve been the sobering run when the diff started to 'peg leg', i dont need anymore of that and will procure a spool of some sort before the next outing.

Honestly, there isnt much to see in this vid, they were his first two runs where he encountered probs and barely got anywhere. I wanna see his 11 second runs!!
