Super SS

Hey guys,
Last night at the Motorplex I ran a 13.264@102.73mph with a 2.038 60' :D This is with the same 260rwhp as before and with a bottle of octane booster and no rear seat or passengers seat. All on my crappy 17" Kumho 712's.
I reckon just bolting on slicks should see it knock right on the door of a 12 with any luck. A 12 is my aim with the stock m90 before I go for the turbo.
I am pretty confident in saying its the quickest factory blown 6 in Aus, if anyone knows any different please prove me wrong. :)
ps: check out the latest issue of Perth Street Cars, my car is on page 140.

Great times there!!
Have always had a soft spot for the blown 6, nice peice of gear.
Whats your raceweight if you don't mind me asking??
(Reason I ask is I am pushing only marginally more power than yours and am contemplating what I might get on my next visit to the strip.......)
My raceweight is 4177 lbs :bawl:

Thanks guys, I know their is more in it too
I think some 3.7 gears will help and also upping the exhaust size from twin 2.25" press bent to 2.5" mandrel.
HRT Stroker: I am not sure of weight but its whatever a VT SS series 1 super 6 weighs minus front pasenger seat, rear seats, parcel shelf and boot trim. Prolly 50kg or so less than stock.

Geeese! What a great time! Especially your 60ft time:confused:
Thats a 3mph gain from your previous runs. Was there anything else done other than the rear seat and octane booster?
Now you've got me back to thinking putting your package into my car:doh:
MMM intercooler hehe:beer:

I had the straight pipes bolted on to replace the cats but I tried those before and was still getting the same 13.7's @ 99.Xmph
I couldn't believe it when I got the slips. I had 7 runs in total, 4 in the 13.2's, 1 in the 13.3's and 2 in the 13.4's all at 102.Xmph
CSV_LS1: if you do what I have done in the lighter VS I am sure you would be even faster than me, a 12 in street trim is certainly achievable I reckon.

Top effort superss, good to see that your keeping the super 6's reputation up their with the big V8 boys. Has the traction been an big problem?

traction isn't too bad except for the 1-2 shift at wot causing the car to go sideways on the street. At the track its pretty good as long as I dont try to launch too hard.

pacemaker headers
twin 2.25" d&t exhaust (I thought it was twin 2.5" when I bought it)
pod filter behind front bumper with heat shielded intake piping
160F thermostat
3.15" supercharger pulley (produces 10.5psi boost with the cam)
Comp Cams XP-Hot cam
comp cams springs and lifters
zzperformance retainers
intense racing pushrods
VY 6L sump
shift kitted auto
Kalmaker engine mapping
water injection
8.5mm MSD wires with autolite plugs (3 heat ranges colder)
think thats about it
