Well I was happy with my 13.09 last week then some little kiwi prick known as Simon knocked me off tonight at Calder.

Believe his run was 13.08 @ 104mph.

Congrats Simon and lets keep hammering away. I am amazed how we can get a commodore, do 3k of mods and run 13 seconds flat. You just got to love em dont ya!

I also believe another F1 performance GTO ran an 11.5 tonight.
Not bad for a 346ci ls1 head cam car with a sniff of NOS.

Like you Large - he seems to know how to get the very best out of his car. Very impressive. Most people would be wrapped with 13.5's out of similiar mods.

(Sorry if I came across strange at F1 - very nasty week (or should I say 6 months) at work, was brain dead and preoccupied with tasks I still had to get back to.)

Hi

Me feel threatened......NO WAY! I hope Teamkiwi and Large get into the 12's really soon. I just wanted to be the first to do it on street tyres, now lets get their cars running deeper into the 12's as we learn more about the geniii ls1.

As more time goes by cars will get quicker....., wait till Teamkiwi gets 3.9's installed!!!

Richard

Good stuff. A little bit of competition always seems to push the times a bit lower. Well done.

i wanna do the 12.99 with the standard diff gears 3:46's because not only hasnt it been done but also because they are not 400m friendly hence more skill required. since my mph was down 2mph from the norm (which i dont know why) i was wrapped wif the time but i cant speak for my crotch though

Simon if you think its more skillful driving with 3.46's than 3.91s or 3.73's I have got a great shock for you. Trying to get good 60fts and launching with 3.91 gears is as hard as hell in a manual as well as an extra gear change in most cases.

I know you will get your 12 but don't get misguided with the diff gear thing. It is quite common to run slower times with 3.73s or 3.91s.

I am rooting for you buddy. We do have to catch that ritchie bloke now don't we.

Cheers Large.

Hi

Much more practice/skill required in my car with 3.91 diff gears installed over the quarter mile.

Yep it will be back to the drawing board so to speak if i do go ahead with the diff gears. just like when i first stepped into an LS1 8 months ago. I just want some nice friendly diff gears that dont require me to snap 4rd just before the line.
