sounds drastic ;)
No idea what you are doing but you can also change your current id to something else via the mods also.

Accounts if unused are purged after a certain period of time, possibly 6 months if I remember correctly.

Bit drastic Lani! You could go undercover, so to speak and have a name change if you want. It would proabably be limited to just one and there would have to be a good reason.

Basically I am sick of being the centre of the attention stemming from vicious rumours which are so far from the truth, that at first I thought were funny because it was just plain silly (and I put up with from day one until now), but now have emotionally scared me and I believe has given me a very bad reputation for which I certainly do not deserve. I came to this forum because I like cars and I hoped to be taken under your wing to learn about them and socialise with a more mature group of people, and not to be looked at in such a bad way.
I don’t want to leave because I met some really nice and genuine people and I know I have a lot more to learn about cars!…But to some I guess I am just another girl who is here to pick you all up, and to those people I have this to say: Whether you believe it or not, I am a woman who treats people with the respect she would like in return and I don’t deserve to be spoken about in such a demeaning manner, so at this point all I can think about, is that, by leaving I hope leave peoples thought and they find something else to talk about.
I don’t want to sound like a “typical whinging female”. I was quite happy to drop off the radar, but I know there are people here that wanted an explanation.
Apart from Huggies, Dunstin and Troy, I think I can almost safely say that I’m the youngest person in the validated section/little group we have for dinners etc…, so I think if you have a question regarding myself, or have something to say, I’d suggest you being an adult and speaking with me in private to discuss your concerns, rather asking a third person and having it turn into the primary school game of Chinese Whispers.
Thanks.

change your forum name and don't tell anyone your female. that should get rid of them for a while.

Hi
If Lani changed her name, wasn't female and didn't tell anyone it'd get rid of me thats for sure, and not just for a little while....forever!

It is a shame when it comes to this. It is no wonder that hardly any women turn up to the dinners. A girl turned up last week from a different forum and everyone was buzzing around her like blow flies trying to impress her of which probably detered her a bit. Just my 2 cents, I cant say much as I am probably guilty of this myself! Maybe just need to concentrate on the waitresses rather than the girls that are part of the forum and are along for the cars cause I am tipping that if they wanted to pick up they would just go to a night club or pub....

Lani............it is not good when it comes to this. Boys are boys but they should have more respect. Hope it all works out and you dont have to leave.
Cheers Erik
Sad for things to come to this...
A member that attends almost every dinner and put in a big effort with the all C4AC stuff...then gets abused by some :cussing: on the radio...
There is fun and jokes...but i guess some people have stepped over the line...

Guys this is very sad to see anyone being treated like this and we need to stamp it out before it gets and bad as some of the other forums of which I will not name.
I think the mods need to get behind Lani and help her out and put a life ban or at least a warning to the low lifes giving her a hard time.
No one deserves to be bullied like this out of something he or she really likes.

Well apart from reading about some morons over the radio in the Vic C4AC review thread, there has been no other communication from Lani to the moderators (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/sendmessage.php) email account stating that there have been issues with any members in the past?
It's a bit hard for us to act if:
1. She doesn't lodge a complaint to us
2. We have no idea who the offenders are or what they have done
So it's not as if we are not behind Lani ... our assistance has not been requested as yet .... we can only help those who first act to help themselves.
Another member had some warranty issues with Holden once before because of info they had posted on their own website and in the public section of the forum - so their account was modified to a more "anonymous" state and all was well again. This is an option if Lani wishes to remain part of the forum

It's a part of life .. you ought to hear some of the rumours and comments about me that get around .. :booty:
My philosiphy is I don't give a rats about what people think or say about me, I just be myself and as long as I am happy with my attitude and actions that's all that counts.
Believe me I get some wonderful anonymous e-mail and phone calls .. but that's all the act of cowards, never had one of these people front me whoever they are. :limpy:
