Nice forums

hey all, just signed up only but a few mins ago, just thought i would start off by complementing u all on a good lookin forum... i moderate at an internationally known gaming forum that has just undertaken the transition into the new vb forums - noted a few minor bugs with our changes... looks like you guys had a nice transition to.

just one thing that may have already been raised... found it a lil bit tough reading the sign up screens mainly where i had to type my user name... the field come up in bright yellow background and white text... bit hard to read and make sure it was correct.

also noted to become a validated member you must know someone here personally... hmmm well most ppl i know are either computer illiterate or 100% ford... any other ways around this? dont get me wrong, not trying to jump the line but at the other forums i belong to VIP status is earnt through proven loyalty and/or being a trusted friend...

anyhows what will be will be... but none the less i look forward to learning, sharing and having a good time here... i work for a mainline supplier to holdens in stores and warehouse so i know a lil about current and recent parts and what not. :)

Welcome aboard Twiztid1, there's a plethora of information on this site concerning all things ls1.

As far as the validation is concerned, it appears that you'll have to get to know a few Holden Drivers I reckon.

Thats the thing, you must know or make an effort to meet up with a validated member and it is there call on what sort of person you are. So far the system has worked well as I haven't heard of a single validated member turning out to be a troll or other such undesirable person.
Cruises and get togethers happen all the time, so PM one of the mods in your state to keep you in the loop for the next meet.

Do you have auto fill set to on?? One member had a browser with the Google bar and it's autofill made the box go yellow. Turn it off ..

And MR350, he can't see the cruise section till he becomes validated :D

lol @ not seeing the cruise section... thanks for the welcomes btw :)

dont get to much time for outings with work and family, dont get me wrong im quite happy being the status i am.

as for the auto complete... just read the info in the second posting (url redirect) - thanks for the heads up on that, didnt know thats where that come from.

and finally as for driving the ford, im only drivin it cos the VN is running like a pig at the mo, looking at maybe getting rid of it but who knows
