:lol: I have finished building a 452 LS 1 for a customer.
The engine is going it a VX R8 Clubsports.
For those interested in the specs,here they are

C5-R Block
4.155 bore
4.155 stroke
6.125 H Beam Carrillo rods
CP 2618 Forged Pistons
Clevite 77 bearings
10.5:1 compression
Speed Pro Plasma moly rings
Gen 3 Hot Hyd cam (226 int 236 exh deg at 50 thou 525 thou lift 110 lode centre)
CNC Ported 2003 heads (250cc inlet) 2.05 inlet 1.55 exhaust
SLP 1.85 Rockers
85mm BBK Throttle body
36 lb/hr injectors
554 hp at 5600 and 577 lb-ft at 4400 with 1.85 rockers and 85mm throttle
530 hp at 5200 and 571 lb-ft at 4400 with 1.70 rockers and 85mm throttle
511 hp at 5600 and 553 lb-ft at 4400 with stock rockers and stock throttle

Thats a huge bitch!

Pretty small cam in there, could have easily gone 600hp with something a little more chunkier without it being a pig.

where abouts in Margs are you Steve?
I just moved to Dunsborough from there last week. You dont own that nice gunmetal grey Monaro Coupe do you ???
I drove the Hyper yellow SS ute...........the one with the bloody loud exhaust on it ...you probably heard me morethan you saw me :lol: :p

edit: oops the gunmetal coupe cant be you ...thats a smallblock I think...

I aiming for fat torque across the board. It made 420 lb-ft at 1600 rpm

That me with the grey Q .It does have a big block in it but at the moment it has a 400 small block in it as i'm rebuilding the big block.

554hp out of 36lb injectors.........that MUST be on the engine dyno....as they wont get near supporting that at the wheels with 50psi fuel pressure
So, whats it got on the rollers 320rwkw?

We are still testing and will be using bigger injectors.(it show up on the dyno that the injectors are to small) It hasn't been on the rollers just yet.Hoping to get 580 - 600 hp with tuning and small changes ie injectors , ls1 edit computer programming.

To get 600hp you will have to go a bigger cam.

im thinking about putting a ls1 in a vl calais will this crank and bores fit into a ls1 block as i have access to one to play with

No you can not.You will need a C5-R Block to get 4.16 bore size.I think from memory the max you can get with a standard LS1 block is 4.065 bore with new oversize sleeves.The crank should fit but you will have to check all the clearances.You could use a 6.0L LS1 Truck block.

here is a link to a 455ci GTO that MTI just finished

519 rwhp and 527 rwtq. Stock numbers were 291 rwhp and 308 rwtq.
