Have a family friend who's editor of one the leading performance car mags and recently he had his Nissan GTR car jacked on one of the freeways in sydney. Apparently he was driving along and had 2 WRX's chase and where able to stop him. A group of non aussie's from both cars got out and dragged him from the car with baseball bat while the others took his car. He managed to free himself only to be chased by one of the WRX's of which knocked him down. Luckly he is OK.
It would appaer this is an increasing problem as it is now occuring out of the greater metro areas with 2 cars recently in the hunter.
Any ideas on how to avoid this from happening? :(

Only way to really avoid it is to not own a car these turds will want to jack.
I've heard of a number of hi-po turbos being jacked around Cabramatta, they're less likely to jack a V8.

Simple richo dont stop, put the foot down and go for it drive too the nearest cop shop etc. Try too get away , if it seems a little weird dont stop even if someone looks liek they are in trouble ya car is more important its a persons Pride and Joy or investmant if you like.

You've got to understand that not everyone is willing to drive hammer and tong in traffic risking their life and others around them just to get away.
My condolences to the editor of Speed and I hope they catch the F@#$%^& and give them what we'd all like to do to them.

Or like the guy above said :cool:I had a simular experience with a bmw...as this car was full of people and I was alone I gave the car heaps to get away....the car turned off and I was pulled over by highway patrol and they didn't believe me so they gave me 3 tickets  and I went to court for a year.
Total cost was over $10000 just to keep my licence.
Next time I think cb4s idea is better ;)

It may be a case of trying to remember in the heat of the moment, Call 000 (handsfree of coarse) explain & describe the cars, that way its recorded for later use, then just hope you pass a cop car, that way it has a better chance of getting delt with correctly in court.
but in the heat of the moment it may be a hard

Gotta love those hk mp5's - this thread is turning into an SSAA AGM
Is there an issue with locking the doors once in the drivers seat .... :D
I advise my wife constantly to lock the doors when in the car, the wife and child are worth the time. :)

Perhaps someone could arrange a fight between RIDE:42 and C4B. :box: High noon would be appropriate.

Sounds easy John but not so i found out a while back,
had a car chasing me down the F3 in syd and msahing it with a crow bar and telling me to pull over, rang 000 and was told to "pull over immediately and wait for a patrol car" she got really nasty when i asked here in no certain words if she was joking, thas all that she kept repeating, the line stated was "I will not send a patrol car chasing you up and down the F3"...
So cause of that my car is bashed up and the guy was driving a stolen car and didnt get caught...
Hopefully never happen again but fair is fair and next time i'll have my foot at WOT and wont be stopping till i run threw the front of the nearest police station.
As for sydney, geez this place is really starting to suck! and as someone else said, those damn sweds!

Sounds like more American culture invading our shores, cars are getting harder to pinch so they beat you up in your home or get you on the street, can't win :(
Another thing in the US is guys getting hammered for sportsbikes as well, starting to get rare to see bikes on the streets at night alone :box:
dude, really, what are you going to do if you have your doors locked. they trap you, they got baseball bats, you figure it out. if you dont give it to them they'll probably take you too. life > car I thinks.

Get away from Sydney. We only have underground people here in Melbourne...they're not that interested in cars.
