View Full Version : Went to a Team Brock drive day today

I went to my Team Brock drive day today, and wish it hadn't finished.

It was held at Calder Park, the track was wet when we arrived, but dryed out when we started doing exercises.

Did slalom, then some emergency avoidance thingy which was more about drifting than avoiding anything :D , then some abs mid corner stuff, then off to a motokhana where we all used the same Monaro with sticky tyres (guess who got the best time and won a prize :) ).

Then it was all on, the track was to be taken...just as the rain began to fall...damn that place is an ice rink when wet.

Then we went for some hot laps (in the wet) in a 500bhp monaro with Brocky NOW THATS FUN :D

Great day, and would reccomend it to anyone.

How much did the day cost you please !!!!!!!!!
I am up for an event of this magnitude yet have always balkede at the supposed cost ..

Had a drift night on...was great!!!

Yeah, saw those guys arriving as we were leaving. I'd been there since 8am, and been doing my own drifting all day, so was happy to go home for my tea and scone's :cheers:

The red Monaro was a real mule - had about 3000kms on it, but felt more like 300,000. It's whole life has been getting trashed on drive days. SSH own it, but they say they cant sell it as it may hurt their reputation!

The black monaro is still in development (also a SSH car) so far they have added some decent brakes, springs and shocks, a ficken huge cam and loud as exhaust. They reckon it makes about 500fwhp (is that poss with just a cam?) sounds like a V8 should (very similar to a V8 supercar - oooooooo that idle :thumbsup: )

This is the veiw I had from the back seat in the black Monaro - the driver seemed to be quite good :D (I lost the front seat in a game of Rock Paper Scissors :lol: )
