Sitting at the lights in Blackburn this morning (Eastern suburbs of Melb) and I notice a nice Black Monaro sitting opposite at the lights facing me, thought hmmm got a GTO grill etc on the front, then notice the driver on the left,
cruised off heading east and I saw the Left Hand Drive sticker across the back, looked pretty nice.

Yeah, I've seen that one in the carpark at Forest Hill Chase. Guess someone from Holden must live in the area or something.
About 2 hours ago I was waiting to turn onto Stephenson Rd near Mt Waverley Station and saw a Red GTO (Grill etc) with the Left Hand Drive Stickers. Must admit the car seems to stand out more from side on than the standard Monaros.

Wow! And to think that I went all the way to the USA for 6 weeks and only saw one near Lansing, Michigan (a few hours from Detroit).
It just cruised on by at about 10mph above the limit (which is the norm BTW), I couldn't detect much of an engine note as the wind noise from the back seat of the Scooby-do Imprezza (not a WRX) was extreamly loud.
We were looking out from day one, but it was in the 5th week we saw it. I would have been dissapointed if I had not seen one though, I would have thought it'd be in LA or San Franciso though.

So now that some of you have seen a GTO on the road and not on a show stand, what do you think of it? Do you think it warrants all the BS comments about it's looks etc..? IMO it looks mean. And sounds great for an OE exhaust. :burnout:
