Richie "CLUBVX" will be in Adelaide this weekend too, so if you're lucky, you might be able to get drunk with the rest of us, and get validated as well.
Give me a call when you get here 0416 169 229

Depends how fast you go LMAO.
As I remember, you should allow about an hour and a half max. More like an hour though. But I havent been there for years as I live near Gawler. But looks like Im going there Sunday.

It shouldn't take any more than about 1.5 hours, if it does, it means we're going to slow !!
Lotsa coppers on that road, don't go to quickly lads.

That sounds cool. I'll be there. Depending on the route it could take anywhere between 1 and three hours.

It was a good day I'm glad I went. Hearing 9 LS1s roaring through the twisties was great. Bloody rogue could turn his down a bit though, sometimes I could hear mine over it. Even the pubs'...erm...imaginative pricing policy was fun. Looking forward to the next one.
I'll get that vid up in a couple of days and email it to you Rich if you can PM me with your email details...and anyone else who wants one. I'm sure Andrew and his passanger do LOL.

great day, good company
btw did anyone get my "uturn" on camera?
We should organise the next one in advance and I'll even make up some maps so we know where were all going (if thats possible).

Sounds like I missed a good one guys, how many turned up???
Did any mods run as well - wasn't this run organised to get some people validated??
Next cruise would be good to get as many of the SA members there as possible, haven't seen more than 10 or 12 cars on a cruise yet......

Nah never thought of it for the ahh u- turn... yeah u turn LOL
Be nice to have maps, maybe a second staging area away from traffic lights (sorry clubvx) to regroup so we are not constantly stopping to wait for the people caught at the lights. Great day and would be great to have more cars along. With more notice we could organise a lunch...book tables at a pub or something.
BTW I have a free Sunday on the second Sunday of July.
Also what about organising a Drag day. Off street legals at AIR on the first Sunday of the month and whatever Wednesday this Wednesday is.
I may go this Wednesday in the VN as a practice as I have never done it before. I would love it if someone who knows could give me some pointers.

Hi
Well I just got back from my little getaway in Adelaide. It was a pleasure to meet all of you ls1 owners over in SA. I met some great people and had some great drives with lots of twisties/1/4 mile drags/top speed runs!!!
If you think I am going to remember all your names.....sorry I can't! But I do remember the following:
ROGUE
REDHOTSV8
VXEXEC350 (Mr & Mrs)
CHEFFY
Plus the other few of you who were very friendly to me on the proutes/ls1 cruise, thankyou. Oh and my chicken parmigiana was magical at Victor Harbour!
I even had a quick friendly chat with Street Tuna on the phone, I tried to get my car on his dyno to compare my rwkw directly against Rogue's bolt on figure of 255rwkw but Street Tuna was too busy :booty: ! Anyway didn't matter we settled it on the street!
I will be back in Adelaide towards the end of the year again so will be out in full force!
Oh and to Cheffy: when racing at AIR please do not pull the handbrake 3/4 down the track and do a u-turn....they will get upset with you.
regards,
Richard

Hi
After some warming up on the twistie runs to Victor Harbour on Sunday and seeing my speedo sitting on 249km/h courtesy of someone else on the same day I woke up this morning on LS1 HEAT(is their such a thing?). I left Glenelg in SA and arrived in Patterson Lakes Victoria 6hours and ten minutes later!
I was sitting on 170 a lot and it rained for about 75% of the Journey. :bash:

Was a good day out! The twisties runs were good, never drifted at 160kmh before...
Sorry if my zorst was too loud for anyone, but TOO BAD
Richie, soon as i get my diff gears, lightened flywheel, and clutch upgrade, i want a rematch ;)
I'll be at the strip this wednesday night (weather permitting), so will see a few of you there.
So who's planning the next cruise? Or do i have to do the next one too?

I had that too. My car refused to sit on 60 going home. And I drag raced every one I came accross. Starting with rogue...I thought he had better win ONE race that day ;)

Well, have put forward a date...The second Sunday in July. I am happy to book a lunch venue. I would also be happy to get cheffy to plan the route the last one was good fun. So now we just need some numbers (of people) and/or alternative dates if that one is inconvenient.
It'd be good if we could finish off at the strip and incorporate a bit of a comp...or organise a whole different day for that :yup: so we can set up the vehicles :nyuk: :burnout:
I'll be at the strip this wednesday night (weather permitting), so will see a few of you there.
I'll see you Wednesday dude unless it's too wet.

In all honesty I thought ROGUE did a pretty good job on the launch, he was just a little "out-gunned" on the day. I'm looking forward to seeing him do some proper runs at the strip on Wednesday.
Ritchie, I knew you'd forget me, I guess someone has to be at the back of the pack driving MISS Daisy! I won't forget your car in a hurry though, (insert big grin here)......
