Novacastrians---which is the better dealership for a service?
Charlestown
Newcastle
Gateshead

I've read on the forum that some places are better than others and some can be down-right shonky hence the question.

When i was having my car dealer serviced , it was purchased from the newcastle dealer and after 1 service there were reports of it being seen doing burnouts and basicly being flogged .. These were confirmed by a friend of a friend that worked at the dealer .. The person doing the flogging has since been sacked :booty: ..
Then it was taken to charlestown and never had a problem with them at all , no questions were ever asked relating to any warrenty claim unlike some dealers ..

I would say from my experiences that cardiff is the best of them, and I have used all three. I wouldn't even let newcastle look at it if I was you, they run a very shonky operation.

Gateshead do the job quite well for the company car. Never heard about any complaints from any of my other mates who use them either.

We've used them for the past 3-4 years without a sinlge major problem with them.

I use Heritage maitland, they pick up my car and leave me a loner no charge, and drop it home in the arvo, but i did buy it from them. I have had ALOT of warranty issues, enough to test the patience of any service dept, and had a few arguments, but they are still nice to me when I call in and quick on the parts when I want them. I'd go there again :D

I bought my HSV from Cardiff new and apart from being a bit late sometimes, never had a drama with the service department. Always get a loner without question and all warranty claims have been easy. They have even picked up a couple which I missed (broken water resovoir mount) etc. On the other hand I will never by a new car from them again due to being lied to and mucked around during purchase, but as stated, can't fault them on the service department. :D

Cardiff & Eastlakes (Gateshead?) are both Kelly Holden. I have a mate at kellys Cardiff that does all the genuine stuff.

I meant to type Gateshead but came out with Charlestown.
I only missed by a few km's.
