use irc.oz.org

you can add server names if needed. Lots of info on www.oz.org (ie server lists)

There is a Melbourne connection too. You will have to wait til I get home though. I think it is Alphalink or something like that.
I will try and post up a How to with that too.

oz.org servers

Traditionally, as servers were added or subtracted to our network the list of servers you could connect to altered accordingly. This system has been changed to allow more flexibility and to ensure you do not have to change your irc client each time we change a server

The following server names will always work:

au.oz.org
aussie.oz.org - Overseas clients can only connect to this server at this time.
irc.oz.org
state.oz.org
where state is the shortened form of your state name
ie: vic, nsw, qld, wa, sa, tas, nt, act
capitalcity.oz.org
You guessed it! The name of your state's capital city
eg: sydney.oz.org

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ozorg would like to thank the following businesses and institutions for supplying servers and bandwidth that make our network possible

Alphalink in Melbourne
Only accepts connections from domestic clients
WA Internet Association in Perth
Only accepts connections from domestic clients
Central Queensland University
Only accepts connections from *.edu.au, *.csiro.au, *.gov.au *.oz.au, and *.id.au.
University of Wollongong
Only accepts connections from *.edu.au, *.csiro.au, *.gov.au *.oz.au, and *.id.au

Is that the technical term? I've seen people give similar discriptions in the powertrain area and their little green light isn't green any more =D
