A mate of mine got a BA falcon earlier this year. It has done 4000km. It has developed a fairly major problem.

When he goes to grab a tissue from that little box of tissues ford kindly provides, the cabin is filled with white fluff as the tissue disintegrates.

Is this a warranty issue?

Only if you incorrectly insert the box into the holder.

Replace them with factory Holden tissues, they are
far less likely to break down under duress.

That's a pretty ironic comment considering at the present moment, it is Holden with recalls comin out of the woodwork.

I’ve discovered the cause of this problem in the following Ford TSB to all dealer service departments…

TSB_BA24-0615 to all Ford service dealer departments.

Issue: Disintegration of tissue paper while attempting removal from holder while boxed unit inserted into lower dash tissue box holder compartment.

Cause: If using dedicated Holden quality tissue box within BA Falcon tissue holder compartment beware of self inflating side walls to allow for expansion of compartment holder due to body flex. This is due to gradual “loosening” of front end from fire wall forward which is only noticeable when trading up from older model that has high mileage (over 80,000km) to new model variant where the general looseness of front end and body work becomes apparent in back to back driving. Fitment of strut brace only masks said body flex.

Rectification: Order and fit only Ford quality approved tissue box.

Probably would be a warranty tissue. Maybe they need Kleenex to help clean up that bit of fluff.

It helps if you take a huge spoonful of humour, add a dose of wit, small pinch of sarcasm, the whites-only of irony, mix in a blender at high speed for 20 secs and spread over a soft sponge of self-indulgance.

I had heard about that. My theory is that the Falcon cant take the extra weight of good quality tissues

...but save the runny nose from friction burns...

.....and may also hint at future malfunctions in the airconditioning systems, which will lead to driving with windows down, which would then lead to either a cold or a blast of hot air up the nostrils....
