Hey ya dubbies ...... :D

I posted some time ago about a driver awareness day at Winton Raceway. Its has been confirmed that Starr Performance is intending to run in November 2004 a Winton awareness day. :p

The day will consist of:

1. 60-0 / 100-0 braking technics

2. Accelorate, swerve and brake technics

3. Witches hat control technics

and finally .....

4. Four to five hours of track time. :driving:

As the cost of putting on a day like this is not cheap, the idea is to know of interest before asking for committment so a price can be calculated. It is expected to be around the $150-180 mark.

Driver Trainers ....... Along with Peter Starr, his brother will most like be in attendance. Robbie Starr is the chief engineer at HRT, so even a good excuse to chat with about the Supercar series.

Been a while since a day like this, for those in the 'know' will understand this. This day is all about getting to know your vehicle and performance attributes, with driver skill as the leading focas.

Its expected to have 30-40 vehicles entered, a contingent from this forum would be more than welcome. Please post up if you have an interest in attending the day .... Number gathering at the moment. :diddy:

Cheers .....

... excellent question Lani, and the answer is No. CAMS is not required for this day as the lap times will not be timed. The day is considered a driver training day.

You may find some insurance companies cover against the days activities if explained as defensive and training. Just a thought. :D

Cheers.... :p

Thought Id tac on a post to remind any other forum interest in this day, over the next couple of months the final details will be sorted for November. So if ya interested in this day out at Winton, please post your intentions if this event is up your ally ....... :driving:

The importance to know an estimate number of attendee's is to calculate costs etc etc, and viablity in putting the day on. :)

Cheers,

Dane
