I went to the Motorplex on Sunday for a bit of racing and took my laptop and webcam along to test out it's recording capabilities.

You will need the Latest Divx Codec to play.

I Managed to mount the Camera right in front of the Tacho/Speedo display and recorded 2 runs. (only 2 coz traction was shit, so my times where crap) 2.5+ 60" etc.

Anyway, the First run I left it in Third Gear and bounced over the line for a bit. 1.3Meg Drag (http://www.kisser.net.au/davidc/2-small.avi)
13.606@104mph.

the Second was changed into 4th. 1.2meg Drag (http://www.kisser.net.au/davidc/1-small.avi) only a 13.846 @108.56mph. with a 2.496 -60 footer. P.S I forgot to turn the radio off and the shaking is wheelspin/axletramp.

Yes he does, it's the stereo adjusting for Road noise etc.

It's Standard in the VY's. as youslow down again it get's quiter.

it's one of the stereo functions. there's four levels, including OFF, which i have mine on :D

Yeah, bad times for me too. I'm gonna go out next time and just launch it at 3 grand and work my way down from there to check the level of wheelspin. Seems I wasn't giving it enough off the line and my times show it. And you can see when it bogs down off the line when the revs drop.

Watching the video will help me work out what i did wrong on my runs, to try and better or emulate the best launch.
