G'day all,
I've just sold my Rex and am shortly going to get myself s Monaro. Is there anyone here who has had there exhaust done here in Perth and recommends them? I'm looking for a real deep V8 note, but no droning and no 'tinny' raspiness. The Monaro will be a manual.
Thanks
Zombee :)

Try D&T Exhausts in Wangara. Added 30 odd rwkw to my VX SS manual with 4-1 Pacies and a twin 2.5" system. Nice rumble at idle and burbles when under load slowing down. Very little drone at 110 in 6th, and screams under WOT. :)

Go see Daniel @ Chipmaster
He's does a 300kw upgrade with exhaust & tune.
Chipmaster (http://www.chipmaster.com.au/)
D&T are quite expensive but Aaron seems to know what his on about. I personally wouldnt go there though.
I would go to Daniel at Chipmaster or Mitch at Leederville Autocare. They have a good LS1 reputation in WA and Daniel's power figures speak for themselves. I speak highly of the Perth exhaust centre aswell. Had my SS done there.
Cheers

I personally would recommend speaking to Mitch at Leederville auto care about an exhaust setup. You'd be able to have a listen to his VY, which sounds very nice and amazingly no Drone!
His Car for a stock Untuned ! VY pulling 13.5's @108mph. Is pretty amazing.
Then once you have gotten use to the power, Go and See Dan for a Tune.

Thanx 4 the info guys,
I've heard of Chipmaster, didn't know they did exhausts as well. I spose a twin 2.5" with 4 - 1 headers are the go?? My Rex had a full 3" s/steel system and that had a awesome note on it. Pretty keen to get the same rumble but only better as its a V8 rumble. Only seen a few GEN3's with a decent sounding exhaust, but bit hard to ask them where they got it done out on the open road. Is the only way to get the decent sound with a full system?
Thanx

There is a possibility of me getting into a VTII SS in the next few months and if I do get it the stock exhaust will be the first thing gone. I have experienced the standard Difillipo system and it sounds good but I like a bit more bark ;)
What does the full Difillipo system sound like with the centre mufflers only (removed resonator)? Is there much droning?

Go see Aaron or Harry at D & T in Wangara. They have a new welder who just built my custom exhaust system . He's a young bloke, awsome tig welder and really enthusiastic. I asked him to build me a twin 3" system with a merge - not 'x' pipe crap - and fit DiFillipo 1-7/8 headers at the same time. Car sounds heaps better now, and I'm sure I've gained power as well (not tested on dyno yet).
