Truth or Myth

I have been looking out for LS1 engines for sale and as is always the case Iam hearing all about cheap LS1s that have been sold. I have heard abot 2 complete running engines sell for $1000, others for $2-2500, i have even heard about one with a 6 speed sell for $3000.
This sounds good but how come I cant find them.
Has anyone heard or seen any cheap LS1s for sale or are they just an Urban Myth.

The latest 'Just Parts' mag had LS1 donks as low as $3300, didn't see any under this price but. :)

The only one in parts peddler for $3300 is a TEST engine in pieces.

I hear it from people on forums, thats the problem, especially SC forums people always on about cheapies then I PM them and they either won't tell me or say that was a one off at mates rates.

I just want a motor.
