Impressed with how quickly it gets there
Those trucks
Stu
Call me a sceptic, but those trucks must have been doing 200km/h to have been passed so slowly....
Compare that vid to some of the other Japanese twin turbo high speed runs (often in tunnels / over bridges with city skylines as a backdrop), and there is no comparison. Trucks / Cars are passed in a blink of an eye, and the cars sound and sit on the road as if they are doing major speeds.
Sure he's speeding in this clip, but not at the speeds his dash suggests.

you may be right, 280kph=78m/s so if the telegraph poles are passing roughly 1 every 1.5s that puts them at least 117m apart...dont think so. Lets say they are 30m apart then speed would be around 110kph...maybe a bit conservative but closer than 280kph methinks

lol looks like he is going halve the speed.
looks like he needs his Speedo adjusted.....shorter diff gears installed?
I ride bikes also and let me tell you that at anywhere near that speed the white makings on the road and signs going past are a blur.
When you approach a large truck it doesn't take you that long to overtake
I would suggest the most he is going is only 160 km or so

I agree with your opinion.
I have taken my Blackbird to easy 280+ before and the world goes by at a much faster pace.

1:16 to go from 70 ( on his dash) to 270 ....... if we argee he was only doing around 160kph ...... that means he took 76 seconds to go from 41kph to 160kph........ fOck my stock v6 does better!!!!

0-100 KM/H 5.6 SEC.
0-400M 14.1 SEC. @ 158 KM/H
TOP SPEED EST. 240 KM/H
from here http://www.sportandtouringcar.com/Review_S2000.htm
That doesnt look anything like 280kmh, not even 180kmh.My dads turbo diesel senic accelerates harder at that speed than that thing :D . Yes we tested it leagally on an open speed limit road the other weekend. :bash:
If i was in australia i could tell you what speeds it can do in each gear, stock. Anyone with a wheels magazine with a roadtest on the s2000 could help here.

I think it is more the quality of the clip that makes the trucks go past slow.
Yes there is a customer at sams with a BIG turbo s2000 and it goes like the clappers and revs it tits off. Biggest trouble is getting diffs to cope.
