Good price, should see a lot more head & cammed cars on the road.

Sounds like a great deal, but what are the cam specs? Are you going to get a top end rush only, or will it improve bottom end as well?

I'd like to know this also - might not ever make it to the track but would use the low down daily.

Regardless, sounds like a great package.

Will the kit be offered as parts only?
So I can fit it all myself?

Hi guys the cam specs are around 230/230@110 depending on your exact application. i.e A4 or M6

and yes it improves bottom end torque as the cam uses a much narrower lobe seperation than the factory cam wich alows the cylinders to fill alot beter in the lower rev range.

How long would something like this take to do? Might go down for a weekend.

I reckon its similar to the package Nathan was running in his ute a couple of weeks back at Calder. An easy 11.6s over the quarter and idled really nice. :D

Oh, how I wish I were single again. :bawl:

what sort of power and torque can you expect to be getting out of an M6?

do you give a warranty on parts/fitment?

how long does it take to install and tune?

how long will you need a vehicle for to fit it?

need more info!!!

Sorry for the delayed response guys

The job would take approx 2-3 working days.

Yes we do offer a limited warranty on our workmanship & parts (I.e don't expect warranty if you are abusing your car but if something we have done is faulty we will cover it)

We would need around a weeks notice to book the car in.

Yes we can sell you the parts only! Call us to discuss what you need!

Cheers

what brand cam is in this package?

SS Enforcer

That looks like a good deal .. better than 5 grand for a cam only package.

Are the heads on exchange for ours , and how much for a clutch to suit ??

TTV8
06-08-2004, 10:19 AM
The cam is a comp billet with a Higgins race developments grind.

Yes the heads are on exchange basis unless your prepared to have your car
sit around for a week waiting for Nathan to port your heads.

A clutch to suit this package would be $1495.00 fitted.

What is a rough guide to the power/torque and spread of both with this package? Can we see a dyno chart?

Subject to the above, how long would a standard clutch last with the output this package can generate? Is an upgrade clutch a prerequisite?

(BTW, thanks for providing drive-in, drive-out pricing, this is the figure most of us want to see, not component or partial cost).

Hi, obviously a decent exhaust is needed to get the best out of this system. What is suitable? Can you fit an exhaust at the same time?

Cheers

HIGGINS

Yes you would need a good exhaust we normally use ther Di filippo 4 into 1 extractors with twin 2 1/2 inch system.

Full stainless system fitted - $2682.00

As above accept with mild steel cat back instead of Stainless fitted - $2097.00

And we can fit it at the same time as we do the head & cam package.

Cheers..

Would pacemaker extractors / try-y setup be sufficient for this package?

TTV8
24-08-2004, 06:11 PM
I don't know of anyone offering this package in sydney?

Yes the Pacemaker's will work but you will lose some top end and gain some mid range.

Any chance of a dyno sheet?
I admit I don't know a lot about cam specs, but 230/230... from what I've seen is a biggish cam.
I'm looking for mid range torque improvement 2200 - 5800ish , what general improvement could I expect in this range.

PS : cureent setup- 3.9 gear, manual, pacemakers, twin D&T2 1/2"exh, Edited - 243rwkw.

How much longer will this offer be on the table for?

Also what about the fuel system?(pumps and injectors)do they have to be changed?

Are they an extra cost?

Well I had this package fitted this week... only just got home with the car. It's a LOT of fun to drive now :D

Thanks Rob and the team for all your help, I'm really happy with it so far - all that remains is to see what time it runs tomorrow for the true test :)

Any further feedback on this package?

Maybe adding the new 84mm throttle body also helps?

And what about leaving the (VY) Clubsport exhaust intact, is this a reasonable compromise?

Cheers,

Rick
