Have just got home from the PROCAR event at EC. Well run, very very relaxed, great racing and family friendly pricing (remember when we could say that about supercars!) with under 15's free. Highlight for me was the BRutes with the overall winner Damien "ICE" White in the Brock team Holden , winning 2 races and placing 3rd in the other after coming from 10th on the grid. The weather was horrible , windy and cold , but all of the drivers were very accessible all day , Peter Brock wandering around signing anything ( or anybody ) in sight! For the BRutes the stewards in Supercars could learn a lot! Great racing with a lot of touching, a few parts hanging off, Utes in the sand and plenty of overtaking manouvers that would incur the wrath of the Supercar stewards and yet all the drivers in the BRutes just got on with it. Nations cup was entertaining but in reality it was not exciting given the very small field that now runs in it.
If you get a chance to get out to the BRutes take it! And interestingly they are able to enter into this years Bathurst 24hr.

Yeah was a bit on the windy side!!

But the racing was great to see . . . and i think the best part was the Production Car class enduro race WITH compulsory pitstop!!

This was awesome to watch some of the LESS financial teams do pit stops and come out on top!! This is an awesome idea! Provided great entertainment i think!

And i agree about the stewards . . the paint swapping makes for great racing -although the stakes arent QUITE as high in the BRutes category so the damage is less costly!!

Top day out . . . next one at Wakefield Park, Goulburn on 7/8 August!

Be there!!

I WILL!!
