Can anyone give me the phone number where I could make an official complaint to Holden in regards to my VXII SS? I guess any sort of customer service number will do and I can take it from there.
Thanks

Good luck with customer assistance at the head office. I am still waiting for them to get back to me 2 years after I spoke to them and sent them an email. Their response at the time was they will get one of the senior people give me a call very shortly and gave me a complaint number. After two months I gave them a call and reminded them I was still waiting and I got the same crap again. Well it is two years now and I have since sold the car and they are yet to get back to me.
So I say again, good luck. If it is really important you will need to ring them weekly until they are so annoyed with getting your calls they will actually do something.

ssberlina is right, in all honesty if you sell your vx ss and upgrade to a vyss that is going to be faster and less time consuming than getting holden to to take action, they are absoultly useless when it comes to complaints/warranty jobs...

Damn :thump: I thought I held some sort of record at 12 months waiting for an answer ,in my case I simply tired of waiting and got lucky with dealer number 3 who promptly ordered a new engine with no fuss / no hassles and no drama..faith restored :D..but :booty: to Customer Assist

I wish I was in a position to sell or even trade up, I had another thread when I was looking at a new car talking about it but I have found that due to other financial commitments I can not at this stage so it is either get the car fixed or live with it.

If anyone can tell me a dealer in Sydney that can help me I will try as I have had no luck with 3 Northern Sydney Holden dealers! Allthough in fairness the latest round of engine issues is not as straight foward as the others that my previous engine was replaced for. The gearbox isssues however are VERY straightfoward!

Hi mate,
Whats up with your box?
Ive had dramas with mine too.. rattlin gearknob, grinding sounds and now major clunking and difficulty in slotting gears. Ive taken it to two dealers and have been told thats normal.. Yeh right fwits why hasnt my last two HSV's had similar issues. I tell ya you gotta be persistent with this mob. Good luck

My 6 speed has real issues with second gear but after my dealers last attempt is now having issues with third and forth gears. Second in particular will not go in to gear, you cannot get it in without alot of force and then it will clunk into gear often hitting the console. It also makes terrible grinding and large clunking noises in the gearbox itself. They have finally got the clutch working ok except on second gear still. The weird thing is sometimes the clutch and gearbox are perfect though but it is not related to temperature which supprises me.

If it's any consolation, I had a good response from Customer Assist... they came to the party re: my clutch after the dealer procrastinated over the issue. And I did get prompt return calls.
I know you're frustrated but remember, be calm, speak well, be open and honest.

I never even got rude with them but they probably fix problems that are easy to fix and some like mine get put in the too hard basket. My complaint at the time related with why I was getting my forth auto box replaced with a reconditioned one when surely I was due a new one given that they had already given me two reconditoned lemons. One only lasting 2 weeks.
As it turns out the fourth box had to be installed outside the warranty period and they tried to get me to pay for it even though I had my complaint records prior to the expiration of the warranty. In the end it was covered only under my extended AON warranty and not the base Holden one.
I wonder what would have happened if I didnt have the extended warranty? I would still be fighting I suppose.
