View Full Version : New Post Indicators Disappear

Sidey,

I値l do a search for new posts (via the "show new posts" link) and get back say 20 or so threads, all OK.
Then during the time I知 reading them, and I hit the back button to select a new thread, the screen seems to do a re-fresh and the new post indicators disappear on threads I知 yet to read or in some cases ALL of the threads.

If I do a new search for new posts, those which had their indicators off don稚 show up.

Is it something I知 doing?

I知 using Windows XP PRO with all the updates and IE6.

There's a couple of other weird things happening as well.

Richard: The forum s/w records your "last visit" time as the last time you opened a page. I do the new window per thread as well.

Open window and go to view new posts. Then "Shift-click" on all the arrows to open up all th threads then click on the mark all read.

This ensures that you don't miss posts while reading opened threads :)

This would explain the threads with no views, but some replys.

It works ok for me,, I use new thread search and go back after each one... IE6 And ME :hide:

OK, It just happened again.
I hope I explained it right.
It's the "Go to first new post" down arrow that disappears as well as the yellow or red post indicators turning grey. :(

Oh ok, I get what you're taking about. Nuh I don't use that, I just scroll down ( Its only 14 posts anyway)
