just wondering what the price is for a calais front end on a vx is worth new for holden as I don't want a fibreglass one.
I was given a estimate from a parts guy of $3000 inc all lights, front bar and grill. I thought that was a bit $$$$.

SS front complete with lights was only around $700

Sounds pricey but probably about right from Holden if its fitted and painted...BUT why? The Calais front on the VX was pretty ordinary IMHO.

Phone around the Panel Shops and find out who is dealing in Insurance 2nd's,
My front and rear VY SS bars cost $150.00..many of these bars are removed from brand new vehicles with only the slightest nick or damage incurred to them which can be readily repaired by plastic welding.

From a VX Exec to VX Calais front you will need to change your head lights also. Maybe the $3000 was from VX to Vy as you need to change the front guard to suit.

Not as ordinary as driving with fog lights on when there is no fog ;)
