I have had a THREE mobile for over a year now, and i thought i would warn everyone that they are CRAP, dont bother with them, thier customer service is bad (u get put through to India) and their phones break (im on my 3rd in a year and its got problems still).I went to the Hunter Valley and had no reception from when i left Syd... there network crashed and they didnt tell anyone! Their calls are cheap and stuff, but its not worth the hassle. i have just gone back to Vodafone..

Just thought ppl would like to know

I have at agree.
I dont get reception in my bedroom, have to leave the phone in the kitchen.
Went to Bowral last wednesday and no reception all day, had clients ringing me all day.

No games on the phones.
Im thinking of going to the vodafone plan with $500 worth of stuff for $99

I'm inclined to agree but the bill is worth the effort....

Bloody big things too, even my new nokia 7600 is huge...

I have been with them for about a year, phone was absolutely crap. Drop outs all the time, couldn't make calls etc.. etc.. . Turns out it was the peice of crap NEC phone. After time in the computer industry you would have thought I would have known better... Changed to an LG for the last couple of weeks, and no problems whatsoever, no dropouts, nothing. NEC :bash:

I had the NEC e606, it was crap, 1st one the screen jsut stoped working, got a 2nd.. it was ok.
Got the LG, within 1 week the ear peice stoped working so i have to put it on loud speaker or use hands free.
About the bill, vodafone have a $500 cap, u pay up to $79 for $500 calls!! that is cheaper than 3, and u have reception and can get a decent small phone, with a call center in Aust which u can understand!

i had the brick motorola fone with 3 first for abotu 6 months, was a heap of crap and it was like a builders fone! then i upgraded to the LG flip fone 3 has! best fone ive ever had and i change my fones every 6 months!

its fantastic, never drops out, light weight and great to use! couldnt recomend it any more , better than the boring old nokias who have the same setup since like 1995....

go get the 3 lg flip its the best!

There are many new optiona available with call caps now so you dont have to use three.
Telstra have cdma $99 plan which give you $400 of calls.
Vodafone have 2 call caps : 1 is $79 and you get $500 woth of calls and the other is $149 and you get $1200 of calls  (these include voicemail and sms unlike three)
aussiefones.com also have phones using Optus network where you pay for the handset and have 2 call cap options also :1 = $49 Chat cap where you get $100 worth of calls and the other is $99 Chat cap where you get $300 worth of calls included and if you dont get up to your call cap price you only pay for what you use :D
....so goodby 3 :bash: and you can use any phone with aussiefones and Vodafone (Telstra is cdma :( )

Hi

I have had three for about 3 months now and they would have to be the worst mobile phone provider known to mankind.

It drops out everywhere. I can not wait till my contract is over.

Hi ho, hi ho its off to Telstra I go!

regards,

Richard

I got mine as my brother-in-law was over the moon about his... I HATE MINE! But understandably he likes his, cos he has no issues with reception in WA (I think they use Telstra for their 2.5G connection over there - or something with good coverage) and he got the first plan offered which was upto 50hrs a month to any phone for $50 per month or something totally unbeatable like that.

When they roam they use the Vodafone network and the "First on three" used to be 3000 min per month and free 10 min calls to another person on three or Orange. They have changed their Fair use policy to $500 per month and 500 min to other Three and Orange....this is why people are upset also.New plans are 30c per 30 sec and the First on three are 15 c per 30 sec.
Many people use older phones eg Nokia 5110 and manually select Vodafone to keep the better reception ;)
Three dont like this and will contact the customer if they think they are using the Roam too much.
I personally think aussiefones.com have the best deals :D  guess why

Now i have left 3, they have got some company to call me and ask why, and the answers i gave have apparently been the same as nealry everyone else who left!!
1, bad customer service
2, bad phones (everyone i know has problems with them!)
3, crap reception
