WELL. I've been sitting here patiently for weeks, and STILL no pics or info on the rest of the VZ range... WHAT'S THE DEAL?!?

Also, i had become accustomed to the idea of the Adventra tail lights becoming the new tail lights across the range... I wonder why this didn't happen? And why did the other wagons not get the Adventra's snazzy new tail gate?

I'd be expecting the release of the ute, crewman and one tonner to be probably next week, this would make it about two weeks after initial VZ launch and about two weeeks before expected Monaro launch.

Personally I'm not expecting an Adventra change yet but it may happen by the end of the year.

As for the Adventra taillights, they are a different size to the standard wagon/ute taillights so they can't just do a straight swap, and I wouldn't have expected Holden to introduce the Adventra-style tail gate onto all wagons. The unique tail gate is something that separates the Adventra from the basiuc Commodore Wagon.

the Adventra tail lights dont have any reverse lights in them so there's another reason why they wont be on the ute and crewman

VZ production

V6 manual crewman and one tonner
(Due to late changes to parts specifications) these vehicles will not commence production until the 19th of november

SV6 manual prodction due to start on the 19th november

V8 Manual production (this covers EVERYTHING in V8 manual) will commence 6th september

WL Statesman and Caprice will commence production on the 31st august

So atm i think Crewman and onetonner will be delayed by a few weeks at the very least.

Hmmm... while at my dealer on the weekend. He showed me thier system which had like 30 SS Sedans and Ute's and thier delivery date to the dealership. I remember him saying and showing me that there was a VZ SS Ute being delivered on the 28th August.

Seems too soon..

Whilst it may seem surprising they still haven't finalised some of the parts specs for the commercial range. I know that they are still testing different steering-rack specs and I'm told October/Nov.

Since I posted my answer, Carpoint have put on their website that they will have the Ute etc info next week, if thats true (you can choose not to believe them if you want), then I was right anyway.

As far as what it'll look like, I'd be guessing that the base ute and one-tonner will be similar in appearance to the Executive, and the SS ute and crewman will be the same as the SS sedan.

I'd like to think Holden will release an SS One tonner, but I don't see that happening unfortunately :( , and the S versions od ute, one tonner and crewman may get the same front as the new SV6.

This latter issue should be rectified in February when the new Alloytec V6 and Adventra are due to be mated up.

Read the full Adventra article here (http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.nsf/story2/D9D0A9AD2778FB37CA256EF400076FA4).

Seeing that the press launch for the utes is thursday and friday, you will all know very soon. Monday is when the embargo ends, not that we have any information anyway, but all will be revealed on Monday.

Then maybe they are going to spring a surprise at the AWD launch, because there were no AWD vehicles at the press launch the other day.

G'day, I have a Crewman S six-speed manual on order with a Brisbane dealer. Originally due late September, they rang on last thursday to tell me not to expect delivery until late November !!! Due to some problem with build of manual gearbox models. Does anybody know what the problem with production is ?? They said I can change to an auto, but no way do want a 4-speed auto. And another thing, why won't Holden make the 190/5L40auto available in the Crewman same as SV6, these models are just about line-ball on Rec Ret Price ??

blownvn

It actually says in the press release that the 6-speed will not be available until november so it must be a suplly issue as they wait for the boxes to come from overseas.

And they are still arguing internally over which steering racks and pumps to use to give the right "feel"

I'm still wondering why Holden won't let customers willing to pay the readies order a special build as in days gone by i.e. Crewman S with the 190/5speed auto. Same powertrain as the SV6, so with robotised production facility why is this in the too hard basket ?? You can't even order a different paint colour from the model specs ie Quicksilver is now available on the ute range but you cannot get it in a Crewman S

No SV6 ute? Too bad, I would have ordered one without a doubt.

I wonder why they did this?

Somewhere to go for series 2 (or special edition if BA2 does well).

The AWD tonner is not due until V6 AWD is released.

I note Motor magazine still have the SS and Monaro released in AWD variants listed in the back of the magazine. Any truth to this? Surely they wouldnt bother with no manual option?

It has been a long day, so I didn't bother trying to extract the tidbit’s of possibly useful information from the angst above. Keep it on topic, or the thread goes.

(As to the validity of the unofficial rumours posted on this forum - think of yourself as reading New Idea or Womans Weekly for the car enthusiast... consider it light entertainment value only.)
