I would think not! I haven't tried mine, but am 99.9% sure it is just a standard crappy CD player.
I'd also go so far as to say that the radio reception is way worse than the VXII SS's Eurovox unit and it doesn't handle burnt CD's very good at all. The VX never missed a beat, this occasionally hit's the beat!!
Edit: Just checked...it doesn't.
Jeff.
Definately not. It's a 6 disc in-dash stacker AM/FM Blaupunkt.

Haven't had any probs with mine, using Princo 80min media burned at 8x.
Try burning at a slower speed.

I have also used princos, verbatims and other brands with no probs. I burn at 4X

All my Audio CD's are burnt at 4X!!...NEVER had any problems in any other player. They are Media Data or some such brand, but work fine elsewhere. Maybe it is just a crusty Blaupunkt unit in my car??
Radio reception with the Blaupunkt in the city is far worse than any of my other cars, static and crap all over the place...AND I AM NOT LISTENING TO AM EITHER!!

Try using different media. Different decks are happier with different colour CD media also...

Could be your burner. Might seem weird, but I've had problems with discs burned in cheap burners in the past - particularly Lite-On burners. Other equipment may not have problems playing them, but sensitive items like our Blaupunkt units do. Using a Sony DVD burner to burn audio CDs (even at 24x) works well for me.

Most car CD players dont like ReWriteable discs, so make sure you arent using one of those.

All too true and something I'd forgotten. The tracks in RW media aren't able to be burned deep enough to play properly in most non-computer CD players.

THe quality of the discs plays a big part - but they are still not great for reading CDrs, and no MP3s will not play in it - which really sucks, and you cannot connect an iPod to it, which also sucks... Come on Holden... next upgrade please.
