Was down in Port Melbourne the other night with a few of the Vic Street Ute boys and we came across one Awesome Yellow GTS Coupe..
It was dumped on its gut on VY GTS rims but what really stood out were the 2 big holes cut into the bonnet!!! one hole in the centre of the bonnet with what looked to be the top of a Whipple showing through (not 100% sure coz it was dark) and the other on the left with a great big Pod filter poking through on an angle!!
Went to go up to talk to the guy but as we approached he left and boy did it sound tough!!! lumpy as all hell!!
Just wondering if anyone on here owns it or if someone knows of it and to what it has hiding under that trick bonnet??????
Tony.

find it hard to believe you would get away with that pod like that for any length of time

I've seen it driven in the rain. Must be water injection:D

You wouldn't. First time spotted by the coppers you'd be booked then it would have to come off to pass a roadworthy. Like yesterday I saw the coppers booking a VL Turbo cause this idiot P plater keeps on driving around with his front bar off - most likely to impress everyone with his shiny intercooler

For sure. Nothing legal about that at all. (going from the pics) Its actually the hole for the whipple that would cause more concern.
Legalities dont permit for any part of the engine bay being "open" to the elements. Ie if you blow a fuel line, power steering line etc and the fluid can come out of the bonnet opening then its illegal.
Also cannot have any part of a motor protruding the bonnet tht is hot to touch.
Any protrusion coming out of the bonnet must not interupt the drivers view of the ground 11 metres in front of him. ie you must be able to see the ground 11 metres in front of car.
Obviously not the correct wording accordig to legislation but you get the picture.
