not a bad price the motor and box be worth 12k, bonus other bits i spose. rear end, interoir if not too blood soaked.

As the sump has let go, think you'd have to ask yourself, "do I feel lucky ?"

Having said that, at 12k, it's not too bad - but you wouldnt just buy a new sump, drop it in & run it.

That is a big hit......

Motor & Box are worth $6k max. You gotta have problems to pay more then that and you can't even tell if its going to run or not. By the looks of it the engine has probably been hit as well.

Motor & Box are worth $6k max. You gotta have problems to pay more then that and you can't even tell if its going to run or not. By the looks of it the engine has probably been hit as well.

Yeah actually my engine is VX, has 24,000kms, 3 months warranty and came with pacemaker tri y's, cats, pcm and wiring harness for $3,300.

Now I am sure you can find a 6 speed for $2,000, I've seen them advertised for $2,500 and they can't sell them. $2,000 will get you a 6 speed.

Minus $300 for my extractors and cats and the motor owes me $3,000 and its got 3 months warranty. Easy enough for ya?

Could of got a VY LS1 with under 10,000kms for same price.

300 ? was that private wrecking, can't imagine a wrecker selling a low k good working box that cheap. that a good price the cost of a service almost. I would have taken it if had low k's on it

Yeah the box was a private wreck.
I almost fainted when I asked how much he sold the motor for.

$800, I was headbutting the wall over missing that one. Complete engine running and low km's. I offered him 3 times that but he had sold it earlier that morning.

The trans is the only part of the ute he couldnt sell, wonder why? :lol:
