Someone is all-ready selling upgrade kits of the "limited edition monaro rotors"
from the vz model!
Looks like OEM boxing too.
Anyone know where we can buy just the slotted rotors from? :D

Thanks, ideally i'd like to hear more about this so called upgrade of brakes coming out on the new monaro. I would assume they'd keep the same calipers but go for larger rotor's. which is what i'd like to do.

I would imagine so..
Except the rears appear to be ventilated, which most likely means new calipers.

The package for sale on ebay looks like standard calipers, and standard size rotors that have been slotted. I thought the new monaro was getting the same size brakes as the PBR Performance Kit, which has bigger front and rear rotors and bigger front calipers.

i dont personally think these are anything else but a set of brakes from ex HSV cars..(the stuff that come from the factory before HSV removed and refit there upgraded brakes)
The new Monaro brakes are twin piston but are colour coded to the car ( or painted just red)and have Monaro printed on them they also run 320mm rotors and 315mm at the back...they ARNT slotted factory .these brakes will be offered from HBD to any other Holden V8 powered car and will even be offered to be retrofitted back to series 1 VY powered cars...

Thanks for the info Nick, but at what cost? Holden dealer's are not ussually well known for their great pricing. :(
whats more, the twin piston 330 mm calipers have a bracket, which I do not see on these... who knows

The upgrade package - is it just the front or all 4 corners?
Is it rotors only, or rotors and calipers?

Slightly off-track, but saw a black V3 Munro today with a "300i by HDT" badge on it. The kicker was that it had stock calipers, but somehow (didn't get a close enough look) had "HDT" several times etched / engraved / stamped (not sure which) around the swept area of the rotor. :hmmm:
If only there was an emoticon for masturbation.........
Yes I know, whatever gets you going is your thing, but really......
P. Brock has nothing to do with HDT anymore (except possibly getting a royalty cheque each month). Everytime I've priced something with them, it's been another 50% (plus) on top of the most expensive price you can find for the same product elsewhere.

Only going by past experience, chewed em to quck, price (even with trade price),and having to get them machined so often...opinion only chief...
