Hi, I have an 04' VYSS and its just not loud enough. Can anyone recommend a place in Melbourne for a full system. Also what brand and $$$ should I be looking at. I have been told a 2.5 inch full stainless system (inc. headers) is the way to go....but there are also 3 inch systems or is that overkill? Thanks

I'm sure the guys down south can recommend someone but ball park for a full 2.5" system including cats and headers is likely to cost you around the 2k mark. Cheaper if you keep your cats, cheaper if you go mild steel. Alot of guys get custom made rather than name brands, however pro-ex make a stainless and I think redback do also. If you use the search function you will find hundreds of posts on exhausts etc.

Thanks chook....did a search but didnt have much luck. Read a bit about Sureflo, but they are not down here. Someone must know of a place here in Melb that they have used/can recommend? I'm in Doncaster...so would prefer it be close to me but will travel to get the best. Thanks

Have no idea about Melb, but have a look at a couple of these threads.

Have you tried CSV? They make a very nice header for the VYII which leaves the cats in place, plus they do custom systems. You also have a couple of forum sponsors down there, F1 and Horse Power Factory. They can both do just about anything you want and you will get a good job, I have heard very very little complaint about any of our forum sponsors so they are always safe to use and will look after forum members.

You should be able to be validated too by the way. Good luck with the exhaust.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I checked out Starr Performance for starters, they offer a full stainless difillipo 2.5 inch twin system...high flow cats, 4 into 1 stainless 1 & 7/8" headers etc... for $2900 including before and after dyno....they expect about 15 to 20kw improvement.
There are a lot of choices....mild steel/stainless, different diameter sized headers, tri y/4 into 1, factory cats/high flow cats...etc
I will check out F1 tomorrow
