View Full Version : Wanted: A driver needed to tow my SS up to Heathcote and back on the 11th of Sep

As per the subject, I'm chasing someone who is able to tow my SS from G&D Performance in Cranbourne up to Heathcote and back again to G&D afterwards. This is for Saturday coming up for the G&D Spring Challenge.

The succesful candidate will be paid a cash sum, fuel up to Heathcote and back, the spectator entry fee to Heathcote and a slab of the driver's favourite brew.

You neglect to take into consideration that I'm only 23. Bit hard to hire something when youneed to be 25. I'll have a bit of a beak around htough and see if I can come up with something.

Stupid question but why can't you just drive up there?

Because there'll be a likelihood of things like tailshafts or drive shafts letting go launching hard on slicks. It's more a fall back plan in case something does break as Heathcote is a fair way from Melbourne to have to wait for a two truck.

You know the saying "better safe than sorry" :)

It's not getting back I'm worrying about, it's getting the car back. I'm waiting on someone to get back to me on whether he can tow me up and back or not and tomorrow I'll have a ring around to see if anyone's willing to rent a tonner out to someone 23.
