Hi All -

I'm sure there's going to be a million posts on the subject over the coming weeks, but I thought I'd post my "I saw, I saw" message regarding the new VZ SS.

Youngs Holden in Perth have all there new VZ's in, and I dropped in after work..

Not much to say really - the new body is pretty well identical - the changes so subtle you'd have to look twice to notice.

The headlights, in my opinion aren't as good as the old VY SS. I liked the teardrop (but that's just me). I also thought the grill was a bit too "gaping".

I'm also not a huge fan of the vents, which are most definately fake, or the V8 badges on the doors - but I'm sure in time we'll all get used to them.

Otherwise, they're the same. I've had a VY SS for 6 weeks now, and really, you'd have to really look to see the difference.

Given the choice between the two, dollar for dollar I'd take the new over the old (who wouldn't), but I gotta say - if you can still get a VY for what I did (42k) compared to the 51k+ for one of these, you'd be crazy not to.

I saw the new ute and calais there too. The new ute colour (blue) looks really good... Can't say I'd personally buy it, but it really looks nice.

I was a bit worried (being one that always must own the latest and greatest), but I gotta say - any current VY owners out there, don't rush out and blow any dough on these.... Save your pennies for the 6.0 litre babies in a few years...

Dropped in Rockingham Holden this morning for the Crewmans 20K service (and fuel gauge re-cal) - not a VZ to be seen (bummer).

Front on if you can't see the difference your blind :D. But side on harder yes till you see the vents fake very much yes poke at them with a pen and see there is no air through them thats for sure, Also they are plastic weak and think they could brake easy also, But then go to the rear and be in shock if one went past and you seen the rear only way you would know is the new lights blink and you would miss it and assume it's just a VY, Intiria blind fold someone sit them in it and they would say nice VY lol If they didn't pick the centre console being a little differn't that's it, Your right if you have a VYII SS save for LS2 But if you have a VYI SS go for it it's nice the front is nice i spent a good 20min going over the car i dind't mind it at all, And maybe the rear wing is shaped differn't and maybe a ant's Dick higher :). A good Twin Monaro system would have been the best :D
