Whats the cheapest way to get four slicks for my car for trackdays...

I would hardly use them so i dont want to spend 2 much money.. Has any one got any for sale or now anyone that does???

Or, could just 'hire' them for a day to see if its worth buying them... Would pay obviously, and buy if damaged...

anyone got any idea's

Some people on the forum know where to get used brute tyres for $50 each. I think they are slick 17's. Sorry, have no more details. Maybe someone else can chip in here.

yeah you can buy second hand semi comps & slicks from different tyre shops,
Shop that supply tyres on race days,
in melb, Mansons, Stucky, & the yokahamma joint on kellets rd roville & few other stores

To check for stores in local area pick up a copy of MOTORSPORT NEWS & the like as all the race tyre suppliers advertise in the & then turn up on the monday after a race meet & have a chat & the going rate is $50 cash only

I am up to my 5th track day out of some ao32r's that i paid $50,

If you can find someone who regularly uses the size that you want and just keep in touch with them and take all their cast-offs. That way you know that you are always getting a matched set in terms of compound, age or usage, and you'll get a far more consistent result than you would by buying a mixed set from an unknown who may have sourced them in bits and pieces from anywhere. When i first started i used buy Ross Bond's cast-offs from his Healey - but most of you blokes wouldn't remember that..
