Dear Moderators,

I understand that my post XR6T vs. SS UTE was getting a bit silly, but why did it get deleted? Wouldn't it be better to delete the offending post with a stern notice? But by deleting the entire post no one knows why the deletion occurred.

My 2 cents, :D

I think it had reached the point where there was so many quotes flying back and forth quite a few replies would have had to be deleted. I'm not sure that individual replies can be cut out anyway, maybe that was the only way it could be brought under control. I don't know how you feel but we seem to have a rogue element that seem to delight in causing friction where it is not necessary. Lots of people create their own little fantasy worlds on the internet. When I joined this forum it was to source better information and try and help others, make a few friends etc, some people have different ideas on what this forum is for.

I know there is people out there that love to stir (esp. a silver r8 up here!)

I enjoy this forum because I think it has 2 distinct sides the very informative technical side and the banter and stick prodding side.

If someone post offensively on the forum fair enough deleted it, but to delete a whole topic I thought was a bit strange especially without reason.

Yes we can delete individual posts.
It depends on the thread. If its not that technical and to much of a mess it will get deleted. :)

As an added note any queries about deleted posts should be emailed to moderators (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/sendmessage.php) (for future reference :) )

It got binned,
because the amount of time it would have taken to sort the mess out wouldn't have justified the thread content.

Feel free to start it again if you want.
The problems were not of your doing.

Take offence??? Pull the other one! :D
I wasn't saying you were stiring on that particular thread, but you've been known to stir esp. on OTHER forums :stick:

Thanks Mods,
I understand now that thread went to dogs, better to bury it.

Cheers,
